New York Jets’ Aaron Rodgers Hopeful About Returning To Game

New York Jets’ Aaron Rodgers had surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon. After three weeks, the quarterback has been healing. He is healing sooner than expected. He is optimistic that he will surprise the world and return to the game this season. According to Aaron Rodgers, there is nothing normal about the way he is handling his rehab. He believes in the power of intention and prayer. He believes miracles can happen. The Jets’ quarterback is dealing with more than just his Achilles tear. He is having an issue with his deltoid too. The injury to his deltoid has caused him to wear an ankle brace. He didn’t explain what happened to his ankle. The injury likely occurred when he injured his Achilles. He shocked people when was seen walking on crutches during the pregame warmups on Sunday when the Jets faced the Kansas City Chiefs.

Aaron Rodgers will go back to his rehab program in California before returning to New Jersey permanently after the Jets’ week seven bye. When he was asked if he was going to play this season Aaron Rodgers said he would work as hard as he can in rehab. He’s going to wait to see where he is in a couple of months. The quarterback is hopeful that he will return to the game. He wants to put positive energy into the universe. Normal recovery time for an injury like this is six to nine months. It is possible for him to return to the game in four to five months.

If it takes Aaron Rodgers four months to recover, he will be able to return to the game in mid-January. The regular season ends on January 7th. The Jets’ star feels he has things working against him. He is the oldest player in the league and people have a hard time coming back from this type of injury. He hasn’t paid attention to statistics. Aaron Rodgers is doing everything he can during rehab, but he wants to take it to the next level. His goal is to walk without crutches. The surgery he received allowed him to be able to move quicker. It also makes recovery time quicker.

Tampa Bay Rays Has Low Attendance Record

Tampa Bay Rays met the Texas Rangers in the AL wildcard series opener. The attendance record made history but not in a good way. There were just under 20,000 people in attendance at the Tropicana Field. It was the lowest attendance record for a postseason game since the 1919 World Series. The 1919 World Series had an audience of 13,923 people. The numbers don’t include the coronavirus pandemic. The attendance was about 5,300 below the capacity of the Tropicana Field. The Tampa Bay Rays usually have the lowest home attendance. They drew 1.44 million this season. The attendance for their home games this season averaged 17,781 people for 81 games. They are ranked 27th out of 30 teams for the lowest attendance for home games.

Chicago Bulls Star Says He’ll Play Again

Chicago Bulls’ Lonzo Ball is determined to play again after undergoing several knee surgeries that have halted his career. Lonzo Ball is about halfway through the rehab process. He had a cartilage transplant in March. This is the third operation he has had on his left knee in a little more than a year. He will miss his second consecutive season. He plans on playing again. He feels like everything is going well this year. He hasn’t suffered any setbacks yet. He’s going to keep his head up and keep doing what he needs to do to get better.

The Chicago Bulls’ guard told reporters that he is only 25. When he was talking about his injury he said everything happens for a reason. He couldn’t control getting hurt. It was something that happened to him. It was part of his career. The guard is going to stay positive and not focus on negative things. He wants to think about what he can do to get better. Lonzo Ball said it was a big surgery, but the team came together with a plan to move forward. There’s no set timeline, but he has the whole year to get as healthy as he can. He wants to get ready to play next season. Lonzo Ball signed a four-year $80 million contract with the Bulls in 2021. He has played in 35 games during the 2021-2022 season. His injuries have kept him from playing.

San Diego Manny Machado Has Surgery

The San Diego Padres’ Manny Machado had surgery on Tuesday. He had surgery to repair his right elbow extensor tendon. The recovery time is estimated to be four to six months. This should give the third baseman time to be back on the field during spring training. This isn’t his first injury. He was limited to designated hitter in September because of tennis elbow. Manny Machado helped the San Diego Padres reach the NL championship series last year.

NFL Detroit Lions’ Wide Receiver Jameson Williams Ready To Play Again

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams was suspended because of gambling. He is ready to play for the team again this Sunday when they go against the Carolina Panthers. The Detroit Lions’ coaches have not said he was going to be active during the game. Jameson Williams expects to play in the game. He was optimistic because he was at practice. The wide receiver was able to return to practice this week. He returned two weeks earlier than expected. The NFL revised the gambling policy last week. The league reinstated Jameson Williams along with two other players. Jameson Williams originally had a six-game suspension that was reduced to four games.

The 22-year-old player was staying in shape and doing what he needed to do so he would be ready when he got back in the game. He has to tune up some things and he will be ready to go. Jameson Williams wasn’t allowed to be in touch with the team while he was suspended. He caught 100 balls a day at home. He worked out twice a day. He doesn’t think it will take long to get back in sync with quarterback Jared Goff. They were working well during practice and he doesn’t think it will take a lot of time once they get going.
