Former NFL Player Dies In Plane Crash

Former NFL player Russ Francis was one of two people killed in a plane crash in New York this past weekend. Russ Francis was a tight end for the New England Patriots and the San Francisco 49ers. He played with the teams from the mid 70s to the late 80s. He was on board the Cessna 177 Cardinal. The plane crashed at Lake Placid Airport. The Senior Vice President of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Richard McSpadden also died in the plane crash. According to the AOPA, the aircraft experienced an emergency after it took off. The plane tried to return to the airport but didn’t make it to the runway. It was a horrible tragedy for Russ Francis and Richard McSpadden’s families.

Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Not Happy With Win

Sunday night’s game didn’t go as the Kansas City Chiefs planned. The game didn’t feature the typical offense that fans have come to expect from the team. Even though the Kansas City Chiefs won the game against the New York Jets, tight end Travis Kelce is reportedly upset about it. He spoke to Dianna Russini after the game. He was upset about the offense. Travis Kelce thought the penalties and mistakes could have cost them the game. He felt the offense didn’t do anything to help the defense. They may have won the game, but it wasn’t the way they wanted. The offensive team seemed off for most of the game. Travis Kelce believed that Isaiah Pacheco was able to keep the team in the game until Patrick Mahomes was able to find his rhythm. Travis Kelce had six catches for 60 yards. Unfortunately, there were times when he and quarterback Patrick Mahomes were out of sync with each other.

NFL Fans Suspicious Of Referee In Jets And Chiefs Game

NY Jets’ defensive lineman Jermaine Johnson was seen getting held for a lengthy amount of time during the play that allowed Patrick Mahomes to get a 25-yard run. NFL officials appeared not to have noticed Jermaine Johnson getting held during a play. The fans were upset over what happened during the game. Cornerback Sauce Gardner didn’t hold back when he talked about what happened during the game. A Kansas City Chiefs’ receiver continued to run into him. He said it was happening throughout the game. The referees didn’t throw any flags. Patrick Mahomes threw the ball outside of the receiver while Michael Carter II was there. Michael Carter II made the play, and the referee threw the flag.

NBA Stars Interested In 2024 Olympics

Some NBA stars have expressed interest in competing in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Los Angeles Lakers’ star Lebron James is interested in playing for team USA. In September, he was recruiting other American players to join him. Since he decided to recruit players to join him, other players have expressed interest in joining the Olympic team. Golden States Warrior Steph Curry Phoenix Suns’ Kevin Durant, Miami Heats’ Bam Adebayo, Chicago Bulls DeMar DeRozan, Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns’ Bradley Beal, Cleveland Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell, Milwaukee Bucks’ Kris Middleton, New York Knicks’ Julius Randle, Chicago Bulls’ Zach LaVine, Denver Nuggets’ Aaron Gordon, Houston Rockets’ Fred VanVleet, Milwaukee Bucks’ Brook Lopez as well as others have shown interest in joining the US Olympic team.

Update On Former Pitcher’s Legal Battle

Former MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer may be counting his blessings and breathing a sigh of relief because he and the woman who accused him of beating and assaulting her in 2021 have settled their dispute. Their respective claims have been withdrawn with prejudice. The former Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitcher has been on administrative leave since July 2021. After the woman made her allegations against him, she claimed he assaulted her on two different occasions in his home. The incident was consensual at first. Things allegedly got tougher for her the longer they were together. Trevor Bauer denied the allegations. He said their encounters were consensual.

LeBron James Gives Update About His Son

Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James gave an update on his son Bronny James. He said his son is coming along. He said he is doing well. Bronny James has begun his rehab so he can get back in the game this season with USC. After the successful surgery, he is doing better. The James family has been going through a lot this summer. As you know, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during a workout at the Galen Center during the summer.

LeBron James was thankful to USC’s training staff and coaches for saving his son’s life. Bronny James has been going to class and spending time with his teammates while he is getting better. LeBron James said the health scare was frightening for the family, but the incident has made them stronger. The family stood by each other. They gave Bronny James strength throughout the incident. The family is happy with the progress he has made. They are optimistic about what the future has in store for him.

Los Angeles Angels’ Manager Not Returning

Los Angeles Angels’ manager Phil Nevin is not returning to the team next season. The Angels have declined their contract option for 2024 with Phil Nevin. Phil Nevin was the manager for one and a half seasons. The team will have their fourth manager in six seasons since Mike Scioscia left after 19 years. Phil Nevin was promoted to manager in June 2022 when former manager Joe Maddon was fired during a 14 game losing streak.
